Hi Everyone!
It has been a dream of mine to open my own practice and in March of this year I started my dream.
Now I did not quite anticipate a global health pandemic, and an economic depression when I planned to start my practice but hey, maybe my timing is a blessing in disguise as I get to work on so many cool things, like my blog.
I felt a big part of starting a website, and a blog, was to let people know who I am, and maybe why I might be a good fit for you as a therapist. I felt then for my first “official” blog, an introduction about me me is important. And no I did not goof and spell me twice, allow me to explain.
Now some might say “Mike you have a whole bio page dedicated just to you, little narcissistic huh?” Well I don’t care! No, I do care, a lot, but I want you guys to get to know my me me not just my resume or CV, as well as how I got to the current version of me me.
Now let me explain the idea of me me, so I can stop confusing you. I feel all humans have “multiple personalities” aka a me. We also have many different versions me that we call upon in certain situations so we can have the best chance for favorable outcome. For example, we probably have a version of us around grandma and grandpa that is probably very different than the version of us at a house party in College. We have grandparent me, and party scene me, and each are needed to have an enjoyable time in these situations.
However, everyone has a me me, a combination of all our me’s that best represents who we truly are as a person.
Continue to my next blog to learn about my me me.
